None of us were ready for a pandemic, and the shock is unprecedented for organizations.
Now, we must prepare for the end of the crisis.
We are living in extraordinary times: The challenges ahead of us are many in number and novel to us all. The impact of the pandemic on the way we work, with more and more people having to work remotely and confined for the first time, is perhaps its most disruptive consequence on our daily lives and presents us with two burning questions:
1/ How can we keep the engine going and stay productive without an office?
2/ How can we keep PEOPLE going, motivated, psychologically healthy, ready to weather out the storm and rise back up once it has passed?
I have seen such a wonderful response from many of you and from companies everywhere to try and help everyone get through this. While productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams have been quick to react and offer their services free of charge to help with the work-related challenges of remote working, I feel that it is essential for us, now more than ever, to also consider the human impact of this forceful separation from each other. Our moral, engagement and psychological health are on the front lines in times like this. As business leaders and corporations, we must make a concerted effort to protect employees everywhere and to build the communities that will both help us get through this and eventually become the foundation of a swift and effective recovery.
At MixR, we want to do our part. I am proud to announce that we will be offering 3 months of free
communities@work powered by MixR to help companies create strong support networks among employees and start building the foundations that will ensure a quick and effective path to recovery through community.
I wish you all the best in these difficult times, it will not be easy, but it will be interesting and full of surprises. We will find ways to turn these events into a tremendous opportunity for positive change and meaningful community building for us all. If our history has taught anything, it is that whenever we go down, we always get back up.
Sincerely yours,
